If you decide to sell your home through a Christian agent referred to you by RealEstateforChristians.com, this is what happens:

After you enter information on the Sell My Home Form page, you will be matched with a Christian agent in your area. That agent will contact you within 48 hours of your submission. If you need faster service, call our 24-hour hotline at 1-800-685-3164, ext 9016.

During your first meeting, the agent should show you two forms from REFC, for your signature. The first is the referral form. That is their proof they are helping you pursuant to the provisions of REFC. The second is commission instructions to the escrow holder to send 10% of the gross commission to the church you designate. Please read the forms carefully. After you have signed the forms, they will be returned to REFC. This is an important step in the process. It is important you insure the forms have been properly filled out and returned to REFC. Remember, we don’t benefit financially from your transaction, so this is the only time the obligation to tithe can be completed. We also recommend the listing agreement be amended to note, “10% of the gross commission shall be sent to (your church).”

Once your property is under contract for sale, the realtor should submit the commission instructions to the escrow company. When you receive your escrow instructions please double-check that 10% of the gross commission is going to the church you have designated.

Once your home has sold, or closed escrow, the checks will be distributed. The broker will receive their hard-earned commission and the church will be tithed 10%. The check distribution will be recorded on the escrow closing statement, which you are encouraged to check.
